My daily commute is all of 7 minutes on a road that is mostly 50mph. The last stretch is 45. So imagine driving at 50 and then some idiot in a donked pista-coloured Jag turn right into the middle lane about 30 ft in front of you when the right lane is empty. Fucking numbskulls. Thankfully the left lane was empty and I was able to swerve to avoid that asshole. Sometimes I wonder if I should just live right next door to my workplace and walk it everyday to avoid the unnecessary spikes to my blood pressure. Worst part? That asshole has music noises with ungodly levels of bass that I can feel through my seat two lanes over at the next traffic signal. Deep breaths for ten seconds and I was calm and put him out of my thoughts. But I just saw a donked car and all that rage boiled over.

Brb, going to do some more deep breathing.

It's because natural selection isn't happening often enough among the human beings. We are headed in the completely wrong direction with the average quality of people.

People only tend to have some insight regarding this kind of behaviour once it happens to them or leaves them in a ditch. But yes, it's mostly not caring that leads to this.
